12/23/07:  Keeping your friends close and your enemies closer may be a bad idea; they may gain flanking...and be able to reach your back with a knife;  I'd rather keep them just in eyesight.

1/10/08:  If you're going to kill yourself and there's any chance someone's going to find you before you're done, OR you're just crying for help/attention, do us ALL a favor and don't take pills containing Tylenol or aspirin... The toxic doses for tylenol are really easy to get to and it'll kill your liver right quick and aspirin thins the blood, and the last thing the world needs is another person on the organ transplant list because you were too stupid to do the job right or pick the right pills to use.... And holding you down to shove activated charcoal solution and/or Mucomyst down your throat isn't on my list of favorite tasks to do, because as angry as it makes me that you did it, I'll still try my hardest to save your life.

2/6/08:  Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday)... it's more like l'Année Gras in this country now... We need to get out of this obesity epidemic.. (l'année=year)

5/4/08: When it comes to where to stand in an argument/disagreement, one should be wary of immediately cowing to someone with more degrees when the other side is the staff you work with.  I'd rather have one specialty surgeon mad at me than my entire ER staff.  At the very least, take the middle ground.  Sheesh, some people need to grow a pair.... 

5/5/08:  What is it that makes some people act so superior when others with the same level of education and experience are completely humble?  Is it pride, environment, or just a compensation for something missing?
